Bruce worked for the City of Salem (Oregon) prior to owning Entertainment Consultants, LLC. In 1995, the City of Salem opened Riverfront Park, a 22-acre “event” park located in downtown Salem on the Willamette River. Bruce was responsible for all facets of the park use for events. Riverfront Park continues to host family events, company picnics, church services, car shows, concerts, and more.

At that time, the City adopted an “Event Management Plan” compiled by Bruce, which expanded event management responsibilities to all City of Salem venues. This included the coordination and management of events held on city streets, parks, and open spaces. Bruce also developed a multi-department “Event Coordination Team” which included representatives from Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks, Transit, State of Oregon, and any other local affected agencies. This group is instrumental in determining City of Salem support for events and addressing potential event delivery issues, i.e., street closures, traffic, safety, etc.

Entertainment Consultants now utilizes this vast experience to ensure clients have the best event planning and coordination available.
